Privacy Policy
At Léon & George, we prioritize your privacy and are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our customers and visitors to our website. Our Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect, use, and safeguard the personal information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our site and our products and services.
Our Commitment to Your Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. We do not sell your personal information for money. We do work with advertising, analytics, and marketing partners — including Google, Meta, and Klaviyo — who use cookies and similar technologies to help us understand how our site is used and to show you relevant ads on other websites. Under California law, providing information to these partners for advertising purposes can be considered "sharing," even without a sale. You can learn more about who we work with below, and see your rights and choices in Your California Privacy Rights.
What we collect falls into two parts. Running the store — taking your order, delivering it, answering you about it — needs the information listed under Your California Privacy Rights, and we ask for no more than that. Measurement and advertising are not part of running the store, which is why they are the part you can switch off.
Cookies and other trackers
Live plants do not travel like parcels, and in many places a standard carrier cannot deliver them at all — we use local drivers instead. Which plants we can show you therefore depends on where you are, so the site stores your city-level location. Those entries are listed below as strictly necessary, and that is what they are used for.
Below is everything that may be stored on your device when you browse this site, and every third party that may receive your IP address. The list is generated from the same source the site itself reads, so it cannot fall out of date.
Some of these entries are not cookies but browser storage — localStorage and sessionStorage. They sit on your device in the same way, and clearing your cookies does not remove them; your browser's “clear site data” does.
Strictly necessary
Cart, sign-in, security, and remembering your choices. The site does not work without them.
Additional features
The YouTube videos on product pages and the delivery map.
Nothing is stored on your device for this. Any service we contact for it appears under Recipients below.
Audience measurement
Counting visits to understand what gets used, and crediting the campaign or partner that brought you.
Personalised communication
Recognising you from one visit to the next, for our emails and reminders.
Targeted advertising
Sharing behavioural data with advertising partners. That data is used to improve and to measure the personalised advertising you see on partner sites.
Recipients
Two recipients in more detail
The table says what each recipient is contacted for. For these two it does not say enough: one receives data about you from our own servers rather than from your browser, and the other sees every request you make to this site.
Meta
We send Meta a record of purchases and other events, from our own servers, so that advertising can be
measured. What travels includes hashed identifiers — email address, name, phone — and, unhashed,
your IP address and browser User-Agent. Meta also sets the _fbp and _fbc
cookies listed above, on our own domain.

Cloudflare
Cloudflare sits in front of this site as a web application firewall, filtering malicious traffic and
caching pages closer to you. It sets the cookies listed above under strictly necessary.

Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you the following rights regarding your personal information.
Categories of personal information we collect
- Identifiers — name, email address, phone number, shipping/billing address, IP address, cookie and device identifiers.
- Commercial information — products viewed and purchased, order history.
- Internet or network activity — browsing behavior on our site, interactions with emails and ads, and the campaign, referrer and affiliate parameters a link carries when it brings you here.
- Geolocation data — city/state-level location, used to determine delivery logistics for plants.
- Customer support records — the emails and messages you send us about an order.
How we use it
To fulfill orders and provide customer service; to operate, maintain, and improve our site; to send marketing communications (email/SMS) you can opt out of at any time; to measure and improve our advertising; and to prevent fraud and keep our systems secure.
Categories of third parties we share personal information with
Payment processing, shipping and delivery, our email and SMS marketing platform, our affiliate network, advertising and analytics partners, mapping and address providers, the video platform that serves our embedded videos, error reporting, and the content delivery networks that serve our images and scripts. We do not sell personal information for money.
The recipients section above names the ones contacted while you browse, and is generated from the list the site itself reads. The categories here are wider than that table: a delivery carrier receives your address without your browser ever contacting it.
Your rights
- Right to know what personal information we've collected about you and how it's been used.
- Right to delete personal information we've collected, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., completing a transaction, legal obligations).
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
How to exercise your rights
Email [email protected] with your request. We'll verify your identity before responding and will respond within 45 days, as required by law (with a possible one-time 45-day extension for complex requests).
Opting out of sharing for advertising
Use the Your privacy choices link at the bottom of every page. It opens a notice with a single control for opting out of sharing for advertising, and a panel where each category can be turned on or off individually. Your choice is remembered on this browser and can be changed from the same link at any time.
We also honour the Global Privacy Control signal: if your browser or an extension sends it, sharing for advertising is treated as refused without your having to ask. You can still open the panel to see what that covers.
You can also email us at the address above to make the same request.
SMS
We use cookies to track items in your cart, including abandoned carts, and the products you've browsed, so we can send relevant reminders and updates by SMS through our marketing platform, Klaviyo. You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP.
Advertisement and Other Third Parties
Which advertising partners are involved, and what each one stores, is in the table above rather than left to “may”. Some of them are contacted by your browser and some by our own servers, which is the last column of the recipients section. What they then do with it is governed by their own privacy policies and not by ours. Learn how to opt out of Google's ad cookies, or read Meta's Privacy Policy.
Links to Third Party Websites
We have included links on this website for your use and reference. We are not responsible for the privacy policies on these websites. You should be aware that the privacy policies of these websites may differ from our own.
Security
The security of your personal information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Changes To This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is effective as of 07/14/2026 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.
We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you either through the email address you have provided us, or by placing a prominent notice on our website.
