Despite the delivery service leaving the box upside-down (ignoring the "this side up" text on the box), this large plant within the planter was so well packaged, that it was still in great condition when we opened the box! Monstera plants, also known as Swiss cheese plants, prefer bright, indirect light. They can tolerate low light conditions but may grow slower and have fewer leaves in these conditions. In general, it is best to provide Monstera plants with moderate to bright indirect light, such as what they would receive in a room with an east, west, or south-facing window.
It's essential to avoid placing Monstera plants in direct sunlight, as this can cause the leaves to turn yellow or burn. It's also a good idea to rotate the plant occasionally to ensure that all parts receive an equal amount of light.
If you are unsure if your Monstera plant is getting enough light, you can check the leaves for signs of stress. Healthy Monstera leaves should be bright green and perky. If the leaves are yellowing or drooping, this may indicate that the plant is not getting enough light.
