How long does shipping take?
All plants ship from our greenhouse in Southern California.
Processing time is 1-3 days. During extreme weather conditions, orders going to the East Coast will ship on the following Monday or Tuesday after the order is placed to ensure the most safe and efficient travel time. Ground transit time is 1-5 days depending on your location. Express transit time is 1-3 days. You will receive a tracking number once your order ships. Keep in mind that items in the same order may ship separately.
Will you ship my plants during winter?
Plant quality always comes first: if the temperature in your area is below 45 degrees, we highly recommend selecting Express shipping. Orders shipping to the East Coast may be held to ship on Mondays and Tuesdays to ensure the shortest transit time possible. In cases of extreme weather, we may hold your order for up to 10 days until conditions improve. In these cases, you will be notified of the delay and the new projected ship date. Our 45 Day Guarantee is here for you and damages sustained by cold weather during transit or delivery will be promptly addressed by our team.
When can I expect to receive my plants?
Orders are processed within 1-3 business days, excluding Fridays, weekends, and holidays. Transit time is between 2-5 business days once your order ships. Please note that during extreme weather conditions, orders going to the East Coast will ship on the next Monday or Tuesday after the order is processed. We do this to ensure the most efficient travel time and to avoid transit over the weekend, as weekend delays in extreme weather conditions may cause damage. When necessary, we will upgrade your order to 3 day select shipping to ensure it arrives in absolute perfect condition. We appreciate your patience, as the weather is beyond our control!
For California residents ordering via our White Glove delivery service, you may select your delivery date and time at check out. In the Los Angeles area and Southern California, we deliver on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. In San Francisco, we deliver on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Can I order now and schedule delivery for a later date?
Yes you can!
At checkout you can select if you'd like your order to be sent right away or at a later date. This will come in handy if you'll be traveling or are planning for a special occasion.
In Southern California and the San Francisco Bay Area, we offer White Glove Delivery. You can select your day and preferred time window as part of completing your order.

What is the moisture meter and how does it work?
This moisture meter does not require batteries and uses a simple color scale: blue = no need to water, white = time to water. To use, gently insert as deep as possible into your plant’s soil, taking care not to damage any roots. Wait 20-30 minutes to read. If the window is completely white, water your plant as instructed on your care card. If the window is blue, hold off on watering until it turns completely white. You may leave the moisture meter in the soil of your plant, or remove it and insert again when you believe it may be time to water.

Not necessarily, especially if you plan ahead a bit. If you're going away for a week or less, there should be no problem if you soak the soil in advance.
