Terms & Conditions of L&G Plus

These Terms of Service apply exclusively to the Léon & George Plus ("L&G Plus") Program on orders placed via: Léon & George US (leonandgeorge.com)

1. Program Overview

The Léon & George Plus (“L&G Plus”) Program offers members a unique plant protection plan designed for peace of mind, with comprehensive plant replacements, priority plant care support, and exclusive member perks for any eligible plants purchased from Léon & George, Inc.

2. Eligibility & Enrollment

Age Requirement - Membership is available for individuals aged 18 or older.

Eligible Purchases - Plants purchased from Léon & George are eligible for coverage, regardless of whether it’s for residential, commercial, retail, or office use. Custom ordered plants are excluded.

Sign-Up Process

  • Customers may enroll during checkout for new purchases or add coverage to previously purchased plants via their account.
  • No approval is required for enrollment.
  • Account creation on the Léon & George website is required to manage membership.

3. Membership Fees & Payment

Fee Structure

  • Membership fees are charged monthly and vary by plant size and variety.
  • A minimum monthly fee of $5 applies.
  • Fees for multiple plants are aggregated, with the minimum applying once per account.

Dynamic Pricing - All fees are dynamically displayed and confirmed at the time of plant selection or coverage.

Tiers & Deductibles

  • Multiple tiers are grouped by plant size and cost.
  • A progressive deductible applies: the first replacement is at one deductible amount, and all subsequent replacements use a higher deductible.
  • Deductible amounts are transparently shown at the time of enrollment, when selecting plants for coverage, and again during replacement request submissions.

Payment Processing - Payments are securely processed and stored through Stripe. Léon & George does not store payment information.

Billing Cycle & Renewal - Your L&G Plus membership operates on a monthly cycle. When you enroll, your first payment covers a prorated period from your membership start date until the first day of the following month. After this initial prorated period, all subsequent payments are charged on the 1st of each month.

Failed Payments - If payment fails, members are prompted to update their payment method. No late fees are assessed.

Promotional Offers - Free trials and other promotions may be offered at Léon & George’s discretion and can be changed or ended at any time without notice.

4. Membership Benefits

Unlimited Replacements - Members are eligible for unlimited plant replacements at up to 80% off retail price, subject to progressive deductibles and shipping fees.

Comprehensive Coverage - Coverage includes accidental damage, neglect, natural causes, pests, missed waterings, overgrowth, and more.

Priority Support - Members get direct access to Plant Doctors and personalized care advice, as well as front-of-the-line support for all inquiries.

Exclusive Perks - Members benefit from preferred pricing on selected plant care tools and accessories, as well as access to exclusive offers and content.

Seamless Replacement Process

  • Easy replacement requests via your customer account.
  • No complex returns or lengthy support calls.

Flexible and Hassle-Free - No hidden fees. Cancel anytime if no replacement has been claimed.

5. Replacement Process & Limitations

Unlimited Replacements with Deductibles

  • No annual limit on replacement requests.
  • Deductibles are progressive and disclosed at the time of request (first vs. subsequent replacements).
  • Shipping fees apply and are variable, matching the standard shipping rate for the equivalent plant at retail. The shipping fee is always disclosed at the time of the replacement request.

Request Requirements - Members must submit a photo and a brief explanation for the replacement request (not strictly enforced, but encouraged).

Exclusions

  • Coverage does not apply to intentional or malicious damage.
  • Léon & George reserves the right to deny replacement for suspected abuse or unreasonable replacement frequency.

6. Cancellation, Refunds, and Commitment Period

Plant-Specific Commitment

  • Each plant enrolled under L&G Plus initiates its own 12-month coverage commitment.
  • If a replacement is triggered for a covered plant, the customer is responsible for paying the full 12-month period from the start date of coverage for that plant.

Cancellation Policy - If no replacement has been claimed, members may cancel their membership at any time without penalty or further charges. Upon cancellation, enrolled plants will no longer be covered, and all associated program benefits will end immediately.

Refunds - No refunds or prorated credits will be issued for unused coverage.

7. Member Obligations

Plant Care - Members are expected to provide reasonable care for their plants. Coverage may be denied for clear cases of intentional harm or neglect.

Documentation - A photo and brief message are requested with each replacement claim.

8. Transferability

Transfer of Coverage - L&G Plus coverage and membership may be transferred if the plant is gifted, sold, or transferred to another individual. The new owner must create or have a Léon & George account. Upon transfer, the new owner becomes responsible for the remaining commitment and future fees. The replacement history associated with the plant will remain intact and does not reset.

9. Termination & Suspension

By Member - Members may cancel anytime as per the policy outlined in Section 6.

By Léon & George

  • Membership may be terminated for abuse, fraud, or excessive/unreasonable replacement claims. Léon & George’s decision is final and there is no appeals process.
  • In the unlikely event that Léon & George discontinues the L&G Plus Program, members will be notified in advance and any active commitments will be honored through their end dates.

10. Changes to Terms

  • Léon & George reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.
  • Notice will be provided via email or through account notification.
  • Continued use of the Program after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

Governing Law - These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.

Arbitration - Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Program shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association in San Francisco, California. Members waive any right to participate in class or representative actions.

12. Privacy

Data Use

  • L&G Plus follows the general Privacy Policy of Léon & George.
  • Payment information is processed via Stripe; no payment data is stored directly by Léon & George.

13. Relationship to General Site Terms

These L&G Plus Terms of Service are supplemental to, and operate in accordance with, the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy of leonandgeorge.com. By participating in the L&G Plus Program, you also agree to be bound by those policies.
