We're a little biased, but we think plants make the perfect gift. After you pick out a plant, simply fill in the recipient's address for shipping. You can add a gift message and select the shipping date at checkout. Order departs via UPS/FedEx at the desired date.

We take great care in packaging each and every plant set to ensure it arrives in pristine condition. Our innovative, custom packaging allows us to not only protect our delicate ceramic planters but also any variety of living greenery. During winter months, we use insulating materials to protect foliage and roots, and in summer, we wrap plants to boost humidity inside their box. Unboxing is easy and delightful, just ask any of our customers!

Ordering extra large plant sets for shipping? Please note that extra large plant sets are sent in two separate parcels. One parcel contains the plant, secure within its plastic nursery pot. The second parcel contains the ceramic pot and wood stand, if applicable. Shipments are carefully timed to ensure that both parcels are received simultaneously, and tracking is provided as soon as the parcels ship.

Léon & George plants are fitted into the highest quality of small batch, hand-finished stoneware ceramic pots, which are renowned for their high-fire, waterproof, ultra-strong material. The plants are potted for optimal airflow and drainage, and finished with decorative preserved forest moss.

Our plant care items are formulated in-house and produced locally using organic ingredients and time-tested recipes.

Starting in March 2021, all large and extra large plant sets will include a sleek, innovative moisture meter that will tell you when it’s time to water. 

This moisture meter does not require batteries and uses a simple color scale: blue = no need to water, white = time to water. To use, gently insert as deep as possible into your plant’s soil, taking care not to damage any roots. Wait 20-30 minutes to read. If the window is completely white, water your plant as instructed on your care card. If the window is blue, hold off on watering until it turns completely white. You may leave the moisture meter in the soil of your plant, or remove it and insert again when you believe it may be time to water.

Orders are processed within 3-5 business days, excluding Fridays, weekends, and holidays. Transit time is between 2-5 business days once your order ships. Please note that during extreme weather conditions, orders going to the East Coast will ship on the next Monday or Tuesday after the order is processed. We do this to ensure the most efficient travel time and to avoid transit over the weekend, as weekend delays in extreme weather conditions may cause damage. When necessary, we will upgrade your order to 3 day select shipping to ensure it arrives in absolute perfect condition. We appreciate your patience, as the weather is beyond our control!

For California residents ordering via our White Glove delivery service, you may select your delivery date and time at check out. In the Los Angeles area and Southern California, we deliver on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. In San Francisco, we deliver on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

You can check your order’s status by heading to My Account and selecting the correct order. You can also find more information in the confirmation email receipt sent to you at the time of your order. We want to assure you that anyone can be a successful plant owner. Our plants are all easy to care for and come with foolproof care instructions. It takes a little practice to develop a green thumb, but if the plant dies within your first 45 days, we'll replace it!

In this case, be sure to let the recipient know to be home during the delivery window.
